ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a nurse who works at Highland Hospital was attacked while walking to her car after leaving the hospital Thursday night.
Police say at around 8 p.m. Thursday, an assault victim flagged down Goodman Section officers on South Avenue near Rockingham Street.
During preliminary investigation, police say they found that the victim, a woman in her 60s, is a nurse at Highland Hospital and was walking to her car when she was attacked.
According to police, they say it seems the attack was related to her being a nurse at the hospital and a situation at the hospital that happened shortly before the attack involving other staff members and a patient.
