ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a truck driver who hit multiple parked cars on Thursday on Driving Park Avenue had life-threatening stab wounds.
That led to a police investigation two blocks away, on Bidwell Terrace near Lakeview Park, where officers arrested a 55-year-old man. RPD determined that the stabbing happened inside a home on Bidwell Terrace.
Officers responded to the crash around 12:40 a.m. News10NBC’s photojournalist saw at least three damaged parked cars in a row and a truck with a smashed front. Officers say they found the driver, 78, of Irondequoit, with stab wounds to the upper body and he was rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital.
RPD hasn’t yet released the name of the suspect or the charges he’s facing. Check back for updates and the latest on the victim’s condition.
