ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday, the Rochester Police Department responded to Ormond Street when medical responders needed their assistance, after two EMTs were attacked by a patient in the back of an ambulance following a medical call, police told us.

When officers arrived, the two EMTs were found injured, the report says.

The 30-year-old man who was the suspect and patient, was found inside the ambulance, RPD says.

Police say he was arrested and taken to Strong Memorial Hospital due to the force needed to arrest him.

The EMTs, a 36-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man, were taken to the same hospital for undetermined injuries, but police said the injuries are non-life-threatening.
