Rochester police arrest four armed suspects near Reynolds Street

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester police took four people into custody early Thursday morning after responding to a report of armed individuals on the city’s southwest side.

Officers said they were called to the area of Reynolds and Hawley Street at approximately 12:15 a.m., where they encountered four male individuals who attempted to flee on foot but were taken into custody nearby. During the investigation, officers recovered three loaded firearms, including a modified AK-47 style rifle.

Police told us a fourth handgun was later recovered. The suspects arrested are 17, 18, 19, and 20 years old. They are expected to be criminally charged related to possessing an illegal weapon.
