EAST ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Pinball Collective hosted the New York State Pinball Championship on Sunday, featuring the top 16 women players from across the state. Competitors vied for a chance to advance to the nationals in Lyons, Colorado, in March.
“Very excited. It’s going to be a great time. I think it’s going to be fun, competitive, and you’re going to watch some good play, which is really awesome to see. And people are in all over the state from New York City, from Albany area, from Buffalo and from Rochester,” Bruce Nightingale, owner of Rochester Pinball Collective, said.
The Rochester Pinball Collective also held a tournament on Saturday for the top 24 men’s players in New York state. This marked the first time the venue hosted the state competitions.
Winners at the nationals will receive a new pinball machine. The men’s champion will earn $8,000, while the women’s champion will receive $3,000.
