ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester man accused of fatally shooting a couple is now on trial.
Jermaine Williams has been charged with murder in the deaths of Timothy Chealey and Shatina Jones. Prosecutors said Williams fired at a group of people on a porch on Rialto Street in May 2024.
Police said the shooting occurred after an argument at a concert.
Attorneys delivered their opening statements today.
If convicted, Williams faces 15 to 25 years in prison.
