RPO president and CEO

The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra is introducing its new president and CEO, Tonya McBride-Robles. This is the second time in history RPO’s president has been a woman.

Golisano Institute for Business

A growing number of people are looking for alternatives to a four-year degree. You can blame the cost, the AI boom, and a shortage of workers with specific skills. The National Student Clearinghouse Research Center found the growth in undergraduate enrollment in the fall of 2025 was driven largely by students starting two-year or certificate programs. It’s what the Golisano Institute for Business and Entrepreneurship is experiencing.

Adams talks with a young man with graduated last year, and the president, Dr. Ian Mortimer, on the school’s expansion into Buffalo.

Mission Fulfilled 2030

Jemelia Edwards, the director of operations for Mission Fulfilled 2030, tells us how Gerald Moore Sr. is taking his nearly two decades of experience with the federal government and using it to help prepare African American young men in Rochester for careers in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Rochester Woman Online

Lastly, Adams has an inspiring conversation with Visionary Temesha Beckford and the publisher of Rochester Woman Online Kelly Breuer.

About Rochester in Focus

Rochester in Focus is News10NBC’s public affairs show. Our aim? To take a little more time with some of the stories and events you see in our newscasts. We want to go in-depth on important issues and ask a few more questions.

Also, when we sit down with our guests, we usually do two interviews. So you may see a guest you’ve seen recently, but the interview may address a different topic.
