Rochester first responders bring holiday cheer to Golisano Children’s Hospital with ‘Good Night Lights’

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Firefighters, officers, and EMS workers lit up the night outside Golisano Children’s Hospital on Dec. 17. The event marked the second and final “Good Night Lights” of the holiday season.

The display aimed to bring joy to children inside the hospital. News10NBC was present inside the hospital to witness the event.

“It’s really a special way to make families feel some literal light during this hard time because it’s really hard to be in here during the holidays and it’s emotional because it’s really good to see,” said Brooke Tortolon, a parent with a child in the hospital.

“Good Night Lights” has been a tradition celebrated across the country for more than a decade, with Rochester joining in since 2018.
