PITTSFORD, N.Y. — The Village of Pittsford will hold a meeting Tuesday night to discuss, among other things, a proposal to ban bikes on village sidewalks.
News10NBC reported on this proposal last week. The village says the goal is to make walking safer for everyone. According to Board member David Wilkes, the village has had issues with people being hit by e-bikes while walking.

The plan would allow unaccompanied kids to keep riding on sidewalks, but not adults. The proposal would still allow skates, skateboards, and scooters on sidewalks, but only at walking speeds.
Tuesday’s meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at the village town hall.
