Police: Teen gets serious leg injury after crashing with SUV in intersection on Saturday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Saturday, just before 7 p.m., Rochester police responded to the intersection of Norton and Carter streets for a crash that involved an SUV and a 14-year-old on an electric scooter.

Police say the Rochester teen received a serious leg injury and was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital. The SUV driver was uninjured, police added.

Investigators say the teen’s actions while riding the scooter caused the crash. No tickets were given out, and the scooter was towed from the scene.
