Police: Seneca Falls town supervisor arrested and charged on Friday

 

SENECA FALLS, N.Y. — The Seneca Falls Police Department reported the arrest of the Seneca Falls town supervisor, following a complaint of harassment.

Frank E. Schmitter, 66, was arrested for damaging a wall at the Seneca Falls Municipal Building and subjecting a town board member to physical contact on Thursday, police reported.

He was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, official misconduct, and harassment in the second degree.

He was taken to the Seneca County Correctional Facility to be arraigned in the Seneca County CAP court.

Police say an order of protection was requested by the victim.
