ROCHESTER, N.Y. — At almost 8 p.m. on Saturday, Rochester police responded to West Main, Gladstone, and Henion streets, after getting a report of a man shot. Later, it was found that no one was shot, but police say multiple suspects attempted to shoot the victim as he ran away.
The victim was found on Gladstone Street when police arrived. He was found uninjured, the report says.
Investigators say the victim was involved in an altercation with the suspects, leading to the victim being chased from 799 West Main Street, onto Henion Street. Police say the suspects fired two shots at the victim as he was running away.
Police added that the victim eventually found a safe place and called 911.
Two bullet casings were found on Henion Street, according to police.
No suspects are in custody.
