Penfield Board of Education to address student safety concerns, allow public comment at Tuesday meeting

PENFIELD, N.Y. — Concerns about student safety at Penfield schools have been a hot topic, and the upcoming Penfield Board of Education meeting will address these issues. The meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 21, will include a public comment period.

Twenty people will have the opportunity to speak about student safety. To participate, individuals must register by noon on Tuesday. The information on how to register is on this page.

Parents have raised concerns following an incident last month when state police reported a student made threats against Penfield schools. Earlier this month, the board held a meeting but did not address school safety nor take public comment.

Tuesday’s meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m.
