GATES, N.Y. — A motorcyclist has died in a crash on Elmgrove Road on Monday morning, the Gates Police chief has confirmed.
Police say the crash, which happened around 6:45 a.m., involved a motorcycle and a pickup truck. The truck driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with officers. Chief Rob Long said the motorcyclist, a man, died at the scene.
The chief says the road will remain shut down between Spencerport Road and Deming Street for a few hours. News10NBC’s photojournalist saw at least six police cruisers at the scene.
Officers are working to determine the cause of the crash. Check back for updates.
