Mother and daughter reunite at Rochester senior living community after 50 years apart

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A mother and daughter at Clover Blossom Senior Living Community are celebrating a special Mother’s Day together.

Pamela and her mother Julia Menichelli are originally from Westchester. They eventually moved to Clover Blossom to be closer to Pamela’s kids and grandkids in Rochester.

It’s the first time they have lived together in 50 years after Pamela moved to college when she was 17.

“I love that my mother is the most caring, generous, considerate, thoughtful person ever,” said Pamela Menichelli.

“I’m so happy that I could be with my daughter, and every day, every minute, just to enjoy her company is, I’m very fortunate,” said Julia Menichelli.

Both said the social activities and having friends right next door — who are like family — are the best part of living at Clover Blossom.
