PENFIELD, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that happened on Ross Brook Drive in the Town of Penfield.
Deputies say it happened just before 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. They say they were called to a home on Ross Brook Drive for a report of a man shot in the leg. When deputies got there, they rendered aid to the victim, who was then brought to a local hospital by EMS.
The victim is reported to be in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, according to deputies.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting. Deputies say preliminary investigation suggests this was targeted, and there is no evidence suggesting any threat to the community.
