Monroe County Sheriff’s Office celebrates its newest graduates on Friday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) celebrated the graduation of two classes of recruits on Friday. The ceremony included graduates from the Jail Bureau and Police Bureau Part-Time classes.

The graduating classes were Jail Bureau Recruit Class #57 and Police Bureau Part-time Academy Class #77 at Paychex Theater in the Strong Museum of Play.

“It puts a shot in your arm that this day and age you’ve got young people willing to step up to the plate and serve their community, let alone in law enforcement, is just very exciting and it motivates myself everyday to go to work and do what I do,” Sheriff Todd Baxter said.

The ceremony highlighted the commitment of young individuals to serve their community through law enforcement.
