FARMINGTON, N.Y. — Gregory Flint, the man convicted of raping and killing an 8-year-old Farmington girl nearly 40 years ago, has been denied parole.
Staci Ackerman’s family campaigned for months to keep Flint behind bars. Flint raped and killed Staci in 1986. Newspaper reports from September 1986 say on the day Flint was convicted of drunk driving but released on bail before sentencing, he raped and killed Staci in her family’s apartment. Flint was a friend of Staci’s mother’s boyfriend and would crash at their apartment.
Flint’s next appearance before the parole board is set for July 2027.
