PITTSFORD, N.Y. — A man is due to be sentenced on Tuesday morning for pointing a gun at a New York State Trooper during a standoff on the Thruway in Pittsford back in May.
The standoff shut down the Thruway between the Victor exit and the Henrietta exit for hours. State Police say Anthony Caceres barricaded himself inside a car with a gun and pointed it in the direction of a trooper.
State Police had to take cover behind a patrol car and called for backup. No one was injured during the standoff and Caceres faced multiple charges. He will be sentenced in Monroe County Court.
