ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Rochester Riverside Convention Center is set for a significant renovation, and the city of Rochester is seeking a firm to lead the nearly $60 million project.
Officials released a request for proposals for the renovation, which will include a complete overhaul of the HVAC system and much of the infrastructure. Cosmetic upgrades are also planned to give the center a modern look.
This renovation marks the first large-scale change since the convention center opened in 1985.
Proposals are due by Jan. 30, and the first phase of the project is expected to be completed late next year.
