Macedon Police chief charged with DWI

 

MACEDON, N.Y. – The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office says Macedon’s Police Chief was involved in a car crash on Waterford Road in his patrol car.

Deputies say the crash happened around 8:15 a.m. Monday morning. Officials say it was suspected that Chief Fabian Rivera was driving drunk. Deputies charged Rivera with a DWI, aggravated DWI, and operating a motor vehicle with a BAC .08% or higher.

The Macedon Police Department charged Rivera with a DWI as well.

Officials say Rivera was given tickets to go to Macedon Town Court and the Walworth Town Court at a later date.
