Local business sees a boost in activity during the Buffalo Bills’ playoff run

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Local businesses are seeing a boost in activity as the Buffalo Bills continue their postseason run. News10NBC’s Chris Fortune reported live from O’Callaghan’s Pub on Monroe Avenue, where the atmosphere was lively during last Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

The pub was packed, with the crowd doubling when the Bills played. The bartender said he was constantly helping multiple people, and fans stayed to celebrate after the Bills’ victory.

“It’s fun because, like, I will run my mouth because I’m not a Bills fan, so I will run my mouth with them. “And, you know, we’re all taking shots at each other across the bar as I’m just pouring the drinks up and all that and we’re all it’s it’s camaraderie. It’s really it’s a really good time. Everybody come down here for Bills Sunday, I promise. It’s a show, said Cameron Maxwell, a bartender.

Although a Patriots fan, the bartender said he appreciates the Bills’ loyal fan base. He noted that fans show up everywhere and go all in, which helps local businesses as they spend money at spots like O’Callaghan’s.

The excitement around the Bills’ playoff games is drawing crowds similar to those seen on Super Bowl Sunday, according to local business owners.
