HILTON, N.Y. — The Hilton assisted living facility whose roof collapsed will begin to reopen.
The state department of health couldn’t share when exactly the facility will be back up and running, but it did tell us it will be involved during reopening to support residents and their families.
All 131 residents of the East Avenue facility had to be evacuated and relocated. Despite being displaced, residents told News10NBC they are still being charged monthly for their rooms.
On that day, we had reached out to the state department of health, who did not address the matter of rent payments.
Employees at the facility were also facing issues, as some said they weren’t getting paid while working to get the facility back up and running.
