Governor issues proclamation to make March 29 Vietnam Veterans Day in NYS

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — On Sunday, Governor Kathy Hochul issued a proclamation to assign March 29 as Vietnam Veterans Day in New York State. Several landmarks throughout the state will be lit up as green, yellow, and red to recognize those who’ve served.

March 29 is the anniversary of the withdrawal of the last 2,500 American troops who left Vietnam in 1973.
