ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A new exhibit opened at the George Eastman Museum, highlighting Kodak’s progressive history with LGBTQ+ employees.
“Picturing Equality: The Lambda Network at Kodak” debuted at the museum on East Avenue. The Lambda Network was a small group of gay and lesbian employees with the goal of creating a kinder and better educated workplace.
The exhibition explores how the early 90s group changed Kodak’s corporate culture and benefit policies in ways felt across the industry today.
“Kodak was such a frontrunner in this employee network group and it’s why people are cared about right now. So, the messaging, while from the 90s and early 2000s, is really relevant today,” said Emma Rathe, manager of programs at George Eastman Museum.
