GENEVA, N.Y. — A 62-year-old woman is facing charges after Geneva Police say she threw a cup of “bleach-like material,” at a child.
Evelinda Sapp is charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Police say on Friday, Sapp threw the cup with the material at a child under the age of five, causing the child to have issues breathing.
The child was checked over by Finger Lakes Ambulance and released on scene. Sapp was brought to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment. She was released without bail and will appear at the City of Geneva Criminal Court at a later date.
