GATES, N.Y. — A Gates woman is set to appear in court Wednesday after being accused of swindling more than $140,000 from an elderly couple.
Cheryl Verde, 66, was arrested in January and charged with grand larceny. According to the victim’s statement, Verde was providing in-home care to the couple and had Power of Attorney.
