ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Four people, including a 1-year-old, were taken to the hospital after being attacked by a dog on Tuesday morning.
It happened on Laforce Street off North Clinton Avenue. News10NBC was at the scene around 2 a.m. and our photojournalist saw an officer shoot the dog. Rochester Police say they had to put down the dog for safety.
RPD says the people inside the home were able to keep the dog outside as it attacked. Officers were able to get the people out of the home through a window. We’re told the dog got free and started to approach officers over a barrier they had made.
All of the victims had bite wounds and scratches but are expected to be okay.
