WEBSTER, N.Y. — Four men were honored for their bravery in saving a woman who drove into a pond on Ridge Road in December.
Derrick Blakely, Adrian Humphrey, Mohamed Jidou, and Officer Thomas Turner received proclamations from the town at a meeting.
Blakely said he had recently been through some hard times.
“That suffer that I went through and I went to the ice water for training to help with all of that, he turned all of that into a moment where I could save someone’s life and I just think that’s so special,” said Blakely.
The woman’s family thanked the four men in a statement for their heroism.
