HORNELLSVILLE, N.Y. — A former Steuben County sheriff’s deputy has been sentenced to nine years in prison and ten years of supervised release for having child pornography.
According to prosecutors, 35-year-old Stuart McHenry uploaded nearly 24 files of suspected child porn onto the messaging app “Kik” under the username “acman990.”
Investigators were able to trace the account back to McHenry. Investigators say they found messages between him and other users where he sought, got, and sent out child porn.
McHenry previously pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography. Prosecutors say McHenry was a deputy while this happened.
