Former Olympians to make appearance during Rochester Amerks ‘Olympic night’

 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Two former Olympians and former Rochester Amerks will be making an appearance at an upcoming Amerks home game.

Brian Gionta and David Leggio will be at the Amerks game on Friday, Feb. 6 during the teams Olympic night. Both of them played on the men’s national team at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.

Gionta, who appeared in over 1,000 National Hockey League games, will meet fans and sign autographs during the first intermission. Leggio will meet fans and sign autographs during the second.

The Amerks will face the Springfield Thunderbirds on Feb. 6. Puck drop is set for 7:05 p.m. To get tickets, click here. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will get a replica of the 2018 U.S. Men’s Olympic Team photo.
