ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Five people are in custody after a chase that started in Rochester’s Edgerton neighborhood and ended around three miles away.
Rochester Police say they tried to pull a car over on Sherman Street around 9:20 p.m. on Monday as part of an investigation into someone being menaced with a gun earlier in the day.
Officers say the car didn’t stop until it reached the corner of Norton Street and Seneca Avenue. Police say that’s where the driver and the people inside got out and ran. Officers set up a perimeter and, according to RPD, took custody of everyone who was riding in the car.
RPD hasn’t announced any charges, and the investigation is still underway. Check back for updates.
