First Alert Weather: Rain and flood threat is over for the weekend

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Yellow Alert for Sunday is over. Thankfully, we have dodged the worst of these storms. However, some areas down in Geneseo and also up by the shoreline in Webster have seen a radar-estimated 2 to 3 inches of rain with some of those earlier training storms. A Flood Watch is still in place for our area until 5:00 AM on Monday.

This passing cold front will give us a brief reprieve from the tropical moisture as dew points are expected to fall into the lower 60s going into Monday morning, still staying moderately muggy. However, dew points will climb back into the upper 60s Monday evening.

Tonight, expect lows near 70 degrees with showers ending after 11:00 PM and scattered clouds lingering. Monday, expect highs near 86 degrees. Monday will bring partly cloudy skies, but a small disturbance will bring the chance for some spotty showers in the late morning to mid-afternoon hours. Expect more warm weather with highs on Tuesdays in the upper 80s and an expected high of 92 degrees on Wednesday.
