First Alert Weather: Great outdoor weather to end the weekend

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Back to Green on the Threat Tracker with nice weather for our Sunday. Lots of sunshine, highs in the low 80s, and lower humidity than yesterday. Great for all things outdoors, but there may be some haze to the sky from wildfire smoke. Air quality will remain fine however as it is going to be locked up in the atmosphere instead of mixing to the ground. Clouds build overnight with a chance of showers after midnight.

Showers continue through Monday morning with a slight chance of showers and thunder along lake breeze boundaries in the afternoon, but overall the day will be rain free and muggy with highs in the low 80s. A front passes Monday night, which will keep our skies mostly sunny and rain-free on Tuesday.

Chances for unsettled weather return Wednesday and Thursday with showers and thunder expected at times but too early to make a call on any signs of severe weather. There will be a partial solar eclipse early Wednesday afternoon, but at this point looks like it will be cloudy. Thursday night will be the Perseids meteor shower, and viewing conditions look good at this time but we’ll keep sending out updates.

Have a great day!
