First Alert Weather: A mainly dry and mild weekend

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We have a weak cold front moving in this morning which will bring increased cloud cover and chances for light passing sprinkles, but not much else. For the most part we’ll be mainly dry, with temperatures remain mild and highs in the mid 70s for the weekend. Expect a healthy dose of sun to poke through the clouds later this afternoon and evening, and plenty of clearing by the early afternoon on Sunday making for perfect Bills block party weather!

Then we enter yet another sunny and dry stretch – good for being outdoors, bad for plants. An upper level ridge will sit over the eastern US for several days, which will keep our skies mainly clear and bump our temperatures up past 80 degrees for a few days. A nice little taste of summer before things become more fall-like again eventually.

A cold front passes Friday which will bring some rain and perhaps some thunder, then behind the cold front is cooler air which brings our highs down to the low 70s next Saturday. Back up to the mid 70s next Sunday.
