FAIRPORT, N.Y. — The Fairport Liftbridge was illuminated with yellow lights Tuesday night in recognition of International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
This commemoration honors the 6 million Jews killed during the Holocaust.
Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that the Liftbridge was one of 16 landmarks lit up for the occasion. Other landmarks included 1 World Trade Center, the state Fairgrounds, and Niagara Falls.
