PENFIELD, N.Y. — Penfield firefighters responded to reports of a house fire on Prospect Street on Thursday afternoon. A man and a pet both safely escaped, deputies say.



Penfield Fire Company shared these photos on social media.
Reports say the fire was under control in about 20 minutes, and no injuries were reported.
The East Rochester Fire Department and Brighton Fire Department assisted on the scene.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
