SOUTH BRISTOL, N.Y. — Ontario County Sheriff’s deputies say a 52-year-old man drove off the road and into a nearly 50-foot ravine on Hicks Road in South Bristol.

Deputies say while driving on Hick Road Wednesday, Ryan Colvin crossed over the center yellow line, going off the roadway and into the ravine on the west side of Hicks Road.

Colvin was brought to a local hospital and arrested for DWI. Deputies say he was also issued uniform traffic tickets for driving under the influence, open container, moving from the lane unsafely, and unsafe tires.

According to medical staff, Colvin suffered multiple fractures in his neck as a result of the crash.
