Crews begin demolition of old Highmark Stadium

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — The end of an era. Demolition crews have started tearing down the old Highmark Stadium.

News10NBC’s Buffalo affiliate says demolition started Friday after power was cut off to the stadium. Demolition will continue through March 2027.

In March, crews started taking seats out of the stadium so Bills Mafia could purchase them.

Construction on the Bills’ new stadium is expected to reach substantial completion this summer. Work on the new stadium was suspended for a bit after graffiti was found in several areas around the stadium.
