Crews battling flames at house on Clifton Street; Siding appears melted at neighboring homes

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — At least a dozen firefighters are battling flames at a house on Clifton Street on the city’s southwest side Thursday morning.

News10NBC’s crew at the scene sees at least five fire trucks and what appears to be melted siding at two neighboring homes. Our crew also sees EMTs standing by but we don’t see anyone being treated currently. The house is between Jefferson Avenue and Genesee Street.

News10NBC started hearing reports of the fire around 3:30 a.m. The front windows appear boarded up at the home and we’re working to learn if anyone lived at the home. We’re also working to get more details from Rochester Fire Department officials at the scene.

News10NBC’s Kristi Blake is live from the scene on News10NBC TODAY every 15 minutes through 7 a.m. You can livestream the show now here.
