Feb 5 (Reuters) – Coca-Cola said on Thursday it is discontinuing its frozen products, including its Minute Maid frozen line, in the U.S. and Canada markets as it tries to appease shifting consumer taste.
“We are discontinuing our frozen products and exiting the frozen can category in response to shifting consumer preferences,” a company spokesperson told Reuters.
The company, which named insider Henrique Braun as its new CEO in December, has been leaning on its portfolio of zero-sugar beverages, as well as its more premium product lines such as Fairlife milk, in a choppy consumer landscape.
“With the juice category growing strongly, we’re focusing on products that better match what our consumers want. Frozen products will be discontinued in Q1 2026, with in-store inventory available while supplies last,” the spokesperson added.
Coca-Cola has been dealing with a tougher regulatory environment for packaged foods in the U.S., and is trying to roll out a cane sugar version of its trademark soda in the country in glass bottles.
Growing demand for low-calorie products was dragging sales for its trademark Coke, while a shift to local products was impacting demand in countries such as India and China, executives said in October.
