ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The City of Rochester is continuing its campaign to gather feedback from the public on what to prioritize in the next budget.
Members of the city’s Office of Management and Budget will be at the Rochester Public Market on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 8:30 to 11 a.m. to hear from people. The city says the feedback will help to guide its spending plan for the 2027 to 2028 fiscal year, which begins next July 1.
Staff members have also gone to the ROC the Block job fair, Fall Festival at Parcel 5, Westside Farmers Market, and a community resource fair on Thomas Street to get feedback.
The city has also launched an online budget survey, which you can take here. It will remain open through Nov. 9. The survey asks residents for feedback on a range of city services and programs aiming to boost quality of life.
In addition, the budget office will hold its annual telephone town hall on Monday, Oct. 26. People who sign up can take part in a phone conversation with Mayor Malik Evans and senior city staff members. It starts at 6:30 p.m. You can sign up online here.
The city plans to submit the budget proposal to Rochester City Council in May for approval.
