CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Places across the state are set to get millions in water and sewer infrastructure projects, including the City of Canandaigua.
Canandaigua is set to get $4.8 million for improvements at the water resource recovery facility to address overflow events during wet weather and protect water quality in the Canandaigua Outlet.
In total, $434 million will be going to water and sewer infrastructure projects across New York State. Gov. Kathy Hochul says these investments protect public health and the environment.
“Affordability means investing before problems become crises,” Hochul said in a press release.
Back in March, the City of Rochester and the Town of Victor both got a share of $250 million for water and sewer infrastructure projects.

The funding for Rochester was to help with ongoing efforts to replace 3,245 lead service lines. The funding for Victor was used for pump station improvements.
