Chick-fil-A announces opening of two new locations in Rochester area in 2026

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Just a little over a month after Chick-fil-A opened at CityGate Plaza on East Henrietta Road, the fast food chain announced two more locations opening in the Rochester area this year.

The company announced Wednesday it plans to open restaurants in Penfield and Victor in 2026, saying it will bring over 600 jobs to the Finger Lakes region.

Previously, a zoning board of appeals held a hearing in Penfield, where the board approved zoning changes for the project. The location in Penfield is set to be built on Fairport Nine Mile Point Road.

Chick-fil-A wants to redevelop a 2,400-acre site that used to be a gymnastics center. They want to turn it to a three-lane drive-thru restaurant with an outdoor patio. The location is just north of Route 441.

News10NBC previously reported that community members part of the organization Preserve Penfield expressed concerns about the potential traffic impacts this project may bring.

These new locations will join other locations in Greece, Henrietta, Brockport, and Irondequoit.
