ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Monroe County Library System and Rochester Public Library will join more than 1,000 libraries worldwide to celebrate International Take Your Child to the Library Day on Saturday.
The event will feature a variety of free activities for children and resources for families.
At the Central Library, families can enjoy a musical journey, dance, drumming, and an instrument petting zoo from noon to 4 p.m. Children can sign up for a library passport in the Children’s Center to enter a drawing for a nine-week Music FUNdamentals or Dance class from The Hochstein School or a bundle of books.
The Webster Public Library’s Children’s Room will offer books, movies, and unique materials for children ages 0-12. The Penfield Public Library will have donut decorating activities.
