STONY POINT, NY — Bruce Blakeman, already the Republican nominee for New York governor, is set to accept the Conservative Party’s nomination at the party’s 2026 convention on Saturday in Stony Point.
The Nassau County Executive formally secured the Republican nomination earlier this week at the state GOP convention.

News10NBC spoke with Blakeman at the Rochester’s Riverside Convention Center ahead of the Conservative Party dinner. He discussed his plans to extend his economic strategies in Nassau County to other regions. His campaign has focused on affordability and public safety.
The primary election is set for June 23, with the general election on Nov. 3. Blakeman and his running mate Madison County Sheriff Todd Hood will face off against Democratic candidate Gov. Kathy Hochul and her running mate, former New York City Council Member Adrienne Adams.
