Brockport village court saved by narrow margin in dissolution vote

BROCKPORT, N.Y. — Brockport voters have narrowly decided to keep the village’s court system.

According to unofficial results posted to the village’s website, the court has been saved by a narrow margin.

The court operates from 7:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, offers a plea-by-mail program, and hosts DMV services once a month. Brockport’s is the last village court in Monroe County after Honeoye Falls and Fairport closed theirs.

Some village officials have said the court was losing the village money.

News10NBC will continue to track how the village plans to deal with this result.
