ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A boy, 16, is recovering after a shooting on Tuesday morning around the Park Avenue neighborhood.
The shooting happened on Tracy Street between Alexander and Meigs streets. Rochester Police arrived just after 3 a.m. and found the teen with at least one gunshot wound to the upper body.
An ambulance took the teen to Strong Memorial Hospital. RPD says he is expected to survive. Officers say they’re still investigating but there is no threat to public safety. There’s no word yet on if anyone is in custody.
Police are asking anyone with information to call 911.
