Our photojournalist saw police there looking through the rubble Thursday afternoon. The vacant Trinity Inter-Faith Church was demolished after the fire Sunday morning.

The fire took about two hours to bring under control Sunday. The Rochester Fire Department told us Sunday the building was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

It is not yet clear if the person died before the fire or during the fire. Officials are still working to identify them. Check back later as we learn more.

Sunday’s fire was the second fire at the church since January.
