CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — A boating advisory is still in effect for Canandaigua Lake.
On Saturday, the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office issued a reduced boating speed limit. Boaters are limited to 20 miles per hour.
Intense rain and flooding cause logs to wash into the lake, creating a hazard for boaters. If you’re on the lake this holiday, be careful when riding close to shore where creeks and run-offs enter the lake.
